They are also fine for business gifts to customers or to employees. I think anyone receiving one of these baskets as a gift would be very grateful and happy to receive it.

The baskets look pretty and they are appealing. The prices for each of the different ones seem reasonable for the contents being offered in them.

Regarding that, I do prefer to send a basket of wine, crackers, cheese, and olives rather than dessert-type things like chocolate and cookies. In other words, baskets should contain ingredients that go well together for an appetizing before-dinner or cocktail hour, rather than dessert.

One other thing that would make the baskets more appealing to me is that I would like to know the vintner of the wine in the basket that I am purchasing. I do believe most people who send a wine basket as a gift want to know the name of the vineyard the wine came from.

The wine bottles are shown in a picture, but it is difficult to see the label. I think a buyer should be able to more easily see the name of the wine company they are purchasing, rather than just the type of wine.

I think that the choices of foods will be a great combination with both wines. Cheeses and almonds all sound wonderful, so do the cookies. I am not so sure about the olives. Perhaps they would go better with the pinot grigio along with the focaccia crisps. The cabernet sauvignon would be a great complement to the almonds and amaretto almond cookies. That is why it is a perfect complement to a dinner party, or special celebration.

I don’t think a birthday party, unless it is for your spouse! This has "romantic getaway" written all over it. It is perfect for a weekend away-the secret item tucked away in the suitcase. When we had our 12th anniversary a few years back, a very thoughtful coworker gave us a bucket of champagne, chocolate, a romantic movie, candles, etc. We really enjoyed it.

I would have preferred wine to the champagne, though. In summary, I think the type of person who would be good for this wine and cheese gift basket would be a bit of an intellectual, a music lover, hard working, but loves to kick back.

This person doesn’t want to kick back while watching the game, but while listening perhaps to nothing at all, or watching a movie or enjoying a quiet dinner out on the patio. Do you have a wish list?
